Children's Programming
Story Time
There will be no Tuesday evening story times in January and
February.
Morning story times
Morning story times will resume on January 9. These
preschool story times will be offered every Tuesday morning at 10:30 for 8
weeks from January 9 through March 9th. We will take the week of
February 14th off for winter break.
Pirate Party
Saturday, January 23
2:00 pm
Pirates and buccaneers are invited to a rousing party with
crafts and games. We'll start the party off reading some pirate favorites like
"How I Became a Pirate" by Melinda Long and we'll end with a snack. This
program is recommended for children 9 and under.
Learn to Draw Superheroes
Saturday, February 6
2:00 pm
Superman, Batman, The Green Lantern. Ever wanted to learn
how to draw a superhero? Chris Girard will be here to teach you how to draw the
ever popular super heroes. All supplies will be provided, just bring a
willingness to learn and have fun. This program is recommended for 2nd
grade and up.
Dr. Seuss Birthday Party
Saturday, March 20
2:00 pm
Join us as we read some of Dr. Seuss most beloved stories',
do a craft or two, and have birthday cake to honor his birthday. This program
is recommended for the libraries' youngest users, those in preschool and early
elementary.
Easter Egg Hunt and Party
Saturday
April 3, 2:00 pm
Join us at the library for a good old fashioned Easter egg
hunt and celebration of spring. We'll read some spring stories, do a craft or
two, decorate cookies and finish up with the egg hunt.
Summer Reading
Summer reading is just around the corner. The theme for
children this year is "Make A Splash @ Your Library. Once again this year we
will offer reading programs for children, teens and Adults. We always give
away fabulous prizes so come to the library to sign up in early June.

Book Discussion

The ever popular Adele Robbins will be here discussing the
book Still Alice by Lisa Genova. "Alice Howland is proud of the life
she worked so hard to build. At fifty years old, she's a psychology professor
at Harvard and a world-renowned expert in linguistics with a successful husband
and three grown children. When she becomes increasingly disoriented and
forgetful, a tragic diagnosis changes her lifeand her relationship with her
family and the worldforever." All are welcome to attend the discussion.
Social Security: All Your Questions Answered.

What is the earliest age you can qualify? Will income I
earn affect my benefits? How do I read my annual social security statement?
All these questions and more will be answered by Mark S. Ivezaj from Ameriprise
Financial. This is sure to be an information packed evening. Reservations are
recommended.
Getting the Best of the Rest of Your Life: Part II

Back by popular demand, Joan Israel will continue her
popular discussion of what to do with the rest of your life. This is a program
geared for all ages, men and women. An exact date has not yet been determined
but more information will be forthcoming.
Mahjong Group
Our mahjong group has been meeting almost weekly throughout
