Time's
marching footsteps have trod lightly in Franklin. Here you will see and meet people
who have gone back to old fashioned hospitality, social graces, and community harmony so
noticeable amongst those who count their wealth on the fulsome score of gracious living
and sweet contentment.

DVD Collection
The library is now offering DVDs. Our collection is small now but will be growing throughout the winter, thanks to a generous donation from the Friends of the Franklin Public Library. DVDs check out for 1 week at a time and there is a $1.00 a day fine for overdue items. This is strictly a browsing collection, no holds allowed. Come in and check out a DVD today.
Have you noticed that it may be taking a little longer to get the book you have requested from another library? That's because the Franklin Public Library is only getting delivery through our cooperative, The Library Network, three days a week instead of five. For the first time we also have to pay a yearly fee for this delivery. Why? The State of Michigan cut aid to libraries by 40%. This means less money directly to your library and it means that your library is paying more for services that in the past the state of Michigan has provided. If you are concerned about further cuts to libraries please contact you State representatives and senators to voice your support for libraries
