Biography Book Group
Wednesday, November 6
6:30 pm

This month's selection is "Wally Funk's Race for Space: The Extraordinary Story of a Female Aviation Pioneer," by Sue Nelson.  Wally Funk was among the first group of American pilots to complete NASA's Women in Space program.  Just before the final phase of training the program was abruptly cancelled.  Politics and prejudice meant that none of the women in the program ever went to space.  The author travels with Funk, now nearing 80, as she races to make it into space.  This book is a unique, intimate and entertaining portrait of a true aviation trailblazer.  All are welcome.

Flower Table Centerpiece - Get Ready to Host Thanksgiving (Part two)

Christel, our florist from France, is back to show you how to create an easy and elegant seasonal centerpiece to add style to your Thanksgiving table.  All materials will be provided.  Registration will open on October 21 for Franklin residents; on October 30 for all others.
